"Club Français des Radiopharmaceutiques" (The French Club of Radiopharmaceuticals)

The LRB is part of the CNRS-INSERM-CEA-Universities Scientific Interest Group (GIS) “French Club of Radiopharmaceuticals” (President: Prof. D. Fagret), which brings together all CNRS Chemistry units, INSERM Biology units, and university teams in the field, all French medical cyclotrons, as well as all industrial players in the radiopharmaceutical field, whose mission is to develop new radiopharmaceuticals for medical nuclear imaging.

The French Club of Radiopharmaceuticals was founded on January 1, 1999, following the creation of the GDR Radiopharmaceuticals 1057 in 1995.

For 25 years, the Club has pursued the same objectives:

  • To facilitate contacts and the exchanges of information between all stakeholders in the radiopharmaceutical sector (chemists, biologists, radiochemists, radiopharmacists, physicians, and French industry representatives in the field)

  • To encourage cooperation between research teams on the one hand and between academia and industry on the other, in order to enhance the efficiency of the transfer from laboratory research to clinical research.
  • To monitor technological developments in imaging agents.

All French manufacturers in the radiopharmaceutical sector are members of this Club.

Two meetings of this community are organized each year, in the form of academic-industrial strategic reflection workshops.
