The LRB is equipped with a preclinical and clinical nuclear imaging and therapy platform, the GAIA (Gamma Imaging Applications) platform, which includes:
- Two radiochemistry laboratories, where various types of molecules can be labeled with radioactive atoms—gamma emitters (Tc-99m, In-111, …) or positron emitters (Ga-68, F-18, Cu-64) for imaging, as well as beta- (Lu-177, Y-90, Tb-161) and alpha emitters (Ac-225) for therapy.
- Preclinical imaging equipment, including:
- SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) cameras (nanoSPECT-CT)
- PET (Positron Emission Tomography) cameras (nanoPET-MRI)
- Ultrasound system dedicated to small animal imaging.
- A hospital radiopharmacy for labeling molecules transferred to clinical practice.
- Clinical imaging equipment, including SPECT-CT and PET-CT cameras.
GAIA is a member of France Life Imaging (FLI) network, was awarded the GIS IBiSA label in 2009 and has a certified quality management system (ISO 9001:2015 / NF X 50-900) since 2020. It is open to scientific collaborations and research contracts with academic and corporate partners.
